A short and sweet update this time around but the guts of it is that in Sydney there has been quite a bit of movement and Nova Entertainment has seen a big shift with Smooth 95.3 taking number 1 FM at a 9.1 share and Nova 96.9 equal number 2 FM with KIIS at 8.1. Nova also has the most listeners with 922,000. Again the overall leader is on the AM dial and that is 2GB. By Session 2GB still leads in breakfast with a 14.1 share and dominating in FM is still Kyle and Jackie O at 10.4. Nova’s breakfast duo follows next at 7.7 with a small amount of growth on last survey but the biggest growth in breakfast was Smooth FM with an increase of 1.0 share points. Triple M also had a large growth in share in brekky up to 7.1. KIIS and Nova are neck and neck for the Drive slot at 10.2 and 10.1 respectively.
In Melbourne, 3AW took a tumble of 1.2 share points to 14.8 this survey however still leading by a country mile. Fox is number 1 for FM after an increase of 0.7 share points. 3AW saw losses in all sessions but still led in all except for Drive where Hamish and Andy took the lead by half a share point at 12.8.
There was a bit of a shift in the Adelaide market with Mix 102.3 increasing its share by 0.8 points to 12.6 to take the lead in the marketplace followed by FiveAA at 11.6 and Nova 91.9 at 11.2 However FiveAA won the breakfast slot at 13.1.
In Brisbane there was also a bit of movement with 97.3 being knocked off number 1 as Nova increased 1.6 share points to 13.7 to take top spot. 97.3 took number 2 position at 11.7 followed by Hit 105 at 10.1. What most likely contributed to Nova taking top spot was the fact they grew in every session except for weekends. In Breakfast Nova led at 13.5 followed by 97.3 at 11.4 and Hit 105 at 9.4.
Perth was led this survey by Mix 94.5 after increasing its share by 0.8 to 15.3 followed by Nova 93.7 at 13.2 share points. Nova led in breakfast followed by Mix 94.5. Mix 94.5 however, was the leader in the drive show.
Nova is the number 1 network in Australia in share (9.2%) and cume with 3,195,000
